When will the Mt Blanc Tunnel be open again?

Answers

Officialy according to the french gouvernement the tunnel will reopen during the summer 2000. Nevertheless it is still questionnable the reconstruction work has been delaid because of some disagreement between french and italians on a reconstitution on site of the accident. I'm living nearby the tunnel but it all what is known for the time being. All the best

I dont know when it will open but it was still closed on the 15/09/01 much to my frustration, this should be sign posted much further back

The french government has planned to re-open the tunnel on december 15th, 2001; let's hope they are accurate.

21/06/2002 the tunnel is open to all trafic up to 19 tonnes.
