Easy or medium routes in Alps

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Mountaineering : One Thread

Hello,

I'm very sorry of my english, first at all.

My wife and I want to go to Alps this August. We usually climb 3.000 m. mountains in Spain and this summer, we want to try a 4.000 in Alps. We are easy with ice walking.

We will be very thank you if anybody can help us, giving some easy or medium routes to do, before trying the Mont Blanc. We are thinking about ridges too, but in Spain there isn4t too much information about this.

Please, give us some posibilities.

Thank you very much.

Hola!

ok, that's about it for spanish. I was on Mont Blanc last summer, and it really is not too difficult. you do have to know what you are doing though. what i did before climbing it (and i am not very experienced) was take a guide and do something with a somewhat comprable ridge...maybe the aguille du midi. That way you spend half a day, get all the kinks in your technique worked out, and can ask the guide if they feel that you are ready for mount blanc. The guide areas also offer all kinds of trips (even just for ideas if you don't take a guide) of all kinds of difficulties. try there. good luck!
