Beauty shot, eh? I could make the obligatory criticism that it needs a catchlight, but that's pretty much a knee-jerk response and its probably there on the slide anyway. Lovely photo of a superb bird.

This is certainly a nice shot. Perhaps it is a problem in the scan, but the front of the stilt is a bit washed out. Part of the problem is the contrast on the bird itself with black and white areas as well as the strong front lighting. A graduated ND filter would help, but it is hard to use one on a moving subject. Was the stilt moving? [And if Steve used a long lens for this shot, it would be hard to find (and pay for) a huge filter that would fit the front of a super-telephoto.]

I love the picture, and my only constructive suggestion would be to move your copyright notice further into the bottom left corner so that it does not distract the viewer.
