OT: Is this Ken Starr's legacy?

Oral Sex Becomes The Norm Among US Teens

By Damian Whitworth In Washington The (London) Times. 7-9-99

It is known as the "anything but intercourse" approach to sex. There are fears that oral sex is becoming so commonplace among young American teenagers that it is regarded as standard behaviour. In one recent incident, the head teacher of a school in a Washington suburb warned parents that a dozen girls of 13 and 14 had been having oral sex with two or three male pupils. When one girl was confronted by her parents, she shrugged and said: "What's the big deal? President Clinton did it." During the Lewinsky scandal there was a national debate about how much children should know about sex and how the explicit acts described in the Starr report should be explained to the curious. The phrase "oral sex" became widely used in the media, rather than a euphemism. Sexual health experts are alarmed. "I've been teaching in schools for 30 years. I am receiving an increasing number of inquiries about incidents of oral sex among young adolescents, at parties and occasionally at school. Kids are not just asking about oral sex anymore; some are doing it," said Deborah Roffman, a consultant working in the Washington area. The links between Mr Clinton's behaviour and the trends have yet to be proved and experts believe that fears of pregnancy and Aids are other factors in popularising oral sex among teenagers. "It's now the expected minimum behaviour. The kids say if you are not going to have sex, at least do this," said Michael Schaffer, a health education supervisor.

You mean Clinton's legacy!

Ken Starr's Legacy????

I didn't know that Ken Starr was the one in the White House having Monica Lewinski "service" him and then bold-face lied to the American People when cornered with the evidence.

I thought he was APPOINTED to investigate the White House by JANET RENO. I thought he was doing the job he was APPOINTED TO DO.

Naw, I forget....Ken Starr has an obsession with sex, and a vendetta with Bill Clinton. That's right. Ken Starr WANTED to become the abject scorn of the entire nation. He thrives on ridicule and derrision. He is obsessed with prying into the Lincoln Bedroom.

Ken Starr's Legacy.

Yeah, right. What a bunch of maroons.

-- Ustupid (Americans@reidi.ots), July 11, 1999.

Last time I checked, the sex life of the president was none of your business. Guess you guys have been watching Jerry Springer too long.

-- (@ .), July 11, 1999.

Excuse me but I wasn't aware that it was Ken Starr that was involved in deviant sexual behavior. I was under the distinct impression that it was what's his name, our beloved Commander in Sleaze

-- (qqqq@qqq.qqq), July 11, 1999.

It is our business when it happens in the oval office (I pay a hefty price in each pay check for that office) and he lied under oath. When are we going to learn ---THE LYING HAS TO STOP IN THIS COUNTRY. Telling the truth is so much easier.

-- not me (tj4261@geneseo.net), July 11, 1999.

When someone ( Bill Clinton) is elected to do a certain job (run the country)..and this same person uses his place of employment (oval office) to have oral sex with an intern (adultry) instead of staying in his own bedroom with his own wife, Then I think it is my business, because I am his employer/voter. This employee indicated on his resume that he was in favor of family values and telling people the truth. ..Yeah, his sexual habits are my business.

-- citizen (oral@oval.com), July 11, 1999.

For the record, oral sex is a wonderful thing.

-- number six (Iam_not_a_number@hotmail.com), July 12, 1999.

What if everybody who had an affair was fired from their jobs? Or everybody who lied about their sex life? What if we decided to polygraph the entire country and root out the deep dark secrets of everyones sexual past?

-- (@ .), July 12, 1999.

I(regretably) have had an affair, and had I been caught doing it on the job I would have been fired...But more to the point, I'm not the president..someone we should expect to lead a resonably moral life.Or is the word 'moral' politicaly incorrect' these days?

-- citizen (lost@sea.com), July 12, 1999.

What if we just tie Clinton's shoe laces together and give him the big wack-attack? Personally, I'd much rather bend him over his desk and use an electric cattle prod on him! If your going to defend that sonofabitch and his dancing dick routines, I'm gonna hurl in your general direction. What the ---k is wrong with you?

If I hear the line about how much money Starr's office spent again, I'll loose my mind. How much has that cigar sucking prick spent in anyone of his various Wag the Dog campaigns? How many lives were lost? How much friggin' infrastructure destroyed? Who the HUMP DO YOU THINK IS GONNA REBUILD IT, mister tax payer with Vaseline stains on the seat of your pants. You MUST be loosing it!

Bill Clinton is BY FAR the most corrupt and covert President in the HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY. Anybody who would defend this *thug* should put a gun to their head and get it over with. knuckleheads

citizen, you remind me of INVAR, who said he would refuse to fight in Kosovo, but was openly critical of Clinton's Vietnam draft dodge.

-- (@ .), July 12, 1999.

You may be right about me,but then again, I'm not the president, our countrys top military leader.

-- citizen (lost@sea.com), July 12, 1999.

Will, I'm not necessarily defending anyone. What Clinton did was wrong, and what Starr did was wrong. Last time I checked, two wrongs didn't make a right. I'm just holding a mirror up and letting everyone see themselves. Everyone being the US "Society", that is.

-- (@ .), July 12, 1999.

I would much prefer, to keep company with the likes of INVAR any day, than to be in the company of James Carvewill and Larry Flit. I'm far too pissed and panting to say anymore. Please excuse me, two shots of Crown Royal and I may be able to sleep by 2am.

Didja' ever wonder who those 60% who wanted to leave that man in office were? And where They were/are? Obviously not on this forum - nor anywhere or anyone I've ever talked to. Are they the same who DGI? Just don't rock my boat???

-- Valkyrie (anon@please.net), July 12, 1999.

Regarding the question "whose fault, Clinton or his opponents", I agree with @.

My opinion of Clinton is very low indeed. I think he is a lying, cowardly little boy, with lapses into irresponsibility and stupidity that would cause stones to weep.

But it was not his decision to make public all the details of his affair with Monica, and in this Internet era where kids will get an early education that their parents do not wish them to have.

Clinton's opponents should have made public only that information necessary for a judgement as to whether he unlawfuly deprived Paula Jones of her right to a fair trial. This could have been done without subjecting the public to such a trash wallow.

And this is the real reason the Republicans did so poorly the last election. (Forget the excuses, such as that the base was so disappointed at not getting a tax cut that they stayed home.)

-- Peter Errington (petere@ricochet.net), July 12, 1999.

@ A dozen girls performing for 3 or 4 boys? Is this true? Can these guys still do sport? Or walk? When I was at school the ratio was a dozen to 6 or 7. Man, we did it tough! Wish I was at school now. Or in the Oral Office....

But more seriously, it's all just another manifestation of the outward thrust of Creation. However, in this Iron Age, there's a "little" way to go. Like a million or so years...(we're only into the I. A. a few thousand years, so they say) Slippin' 'an a slidin'. Y2K 's a signpost saying, "This way, Ladies and Gentlemen, you've booked and paid for your seats; enjoy!!" Know this: You get what- ever you truly want. And everything that goes with it (Oh, S---T!). There is no injustice, in Truth. It's just that our memories don't cover the distance.. And that's Grace. Think about it.

Yeah, yeah, all you flamers, I know this 'aint a religious site, and that;'s good 'cause I HATE religion (man made/corrupted, that is). But if you try to take Y2K in isolation, as a mistake that programmers made a few years ago - you really are kidding yourselves. It's bigger than that, baby. S---t may happen, but real big s---t don't happen by chance.

And think about this: We all die. All our plans for "survival", all the hard men/women with your shotguns/M15's/Bazoooookers/Machine guns/ what ever - you'll survive, maybe. To die peacefully in your sleep 5 months or 5 or 15 years later. All you food horders, you'll ) survive. A little longer. Maybe. But we do actually, at some stage, .....uuuummmm...how can I put this without upsetting some people. Die. It's sort of, well, inevitable. Be honest. Death happens to other folk, but it can't happen to ME. Right? Even many who accept it intellectually, don't do so emotionally. So back to the kids of 13 and 14 doing a Clinton. Those of you over 40, look back at the gradual slipage of standards - all types - political, social, moral - over the time you can remember. Who's to blame? How did it happen? I'm going to tell you. IT WAS ME! I voted for the party that offered ME something more. I didn't turn the TV/video off when it got a bit hot and nasty. I turned away when I spotted the shoplifter/grafitti "artist'/bag snatcher/ old person in trouble. I didn't speak out at our"justice 'system leting the elites off the hook, and throwing the poor in the slammer. Don't blame the programmers. Don't blame the kids. Blame ME. Y2K IS ALL MY FAULT.

igw PS Won't have too much time to read/answer flames as 1) working 2 jobs to pay for Y2K food/ammo 2)Rest of the time, I'll be in church

-- igw (igw@one.net.au), July 12, 1999.

Not that I'm defending Clinton here but I find this quote quite revealing.

"public media should not exploit explicit of implied descriptions of sex acts. Our society should be purged of the perverts who provide the media with pornographic material while pretending it has some redeeming social value under the "public's right to know".

Kenneth Starr --1987 60 Minutes interview

I think they are both dishonest and not interested in the public good, but in forwarding their own agendas.

-- John Beck (eurisko111@aol.com), July 12, 1999.

I agree with John Beck. Hey Will Continue: Now don't hold back....tell us what you REALLY think!! (tee hee)(just kidding; please don't tell us)

-- jeanne (jeanne@hurry.now), July 12, 1999.

Clinton necessitated the explicit details when he tried to redefine sex.

Paula Jones deserved a fair day in court, with all relevant testimony, such as regarding affairs with female employees.

-- Tuvok (Voyager@4thquadrant.com), July 12, 1999.

People are still buying the "Sexual Macarthiesm" spin? The investigation was about perjury. Starr found out about it when another white house employee was asked to commit perjury and instead called Starrs office. That's how the invesigation started down that path.

When reading the newspaper keep your...

-- eyes_open (best@wishes.net), July 12, 1999.

You mean people are still buying the "perjury investigation" spin? This investigation was about getting a sitting president out of office ANYWAY possible. Not that Clinton was without blame. God, I hate defending Clinton.

-- John Beck (eurisko111@aol.com), July 12, 1999.

Yes let's blame it all on Clinton. After all he was only elected twice by a landslide, the DOW has only rocketed 220% since he took office, and he's got that really ugly daughter.

-- (@ .), July 12, 1999.

I for one think it's great that we've got a president who can maintain a stable erection. The last impotent nazi ex-secret police commandant president we had was running around trying to turn every third world country into a junta.I'd rather have a puppet leader who is interested in nothing more ominous than getting his dick wet than a bona fide NWO junta man like Bush,or his bastard son.

-- Mumsie (Shezdremn@aol.com), July 12, 1999.

Ken Starr is a sexual deviant. He's a voyeur, a prying observer who is seeking the sordid or the scandalous. This is how he gets his kicks--probably singing hymns the whole time.

Clinton is just a normal horny man that uses extremely bad judgment about where, and with whom.

What it all boils down to is that the Republicans are still pissed about Watergate. They've been frothing at the mouth for someone to slip up so they could get even.

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of Democrats and Republicans. I've joined the Libertarian Party, and finally I feel like I'm among intelligent adults whose agenda is not attempting to outlaw sex or legislate morals.

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), July 12, 1999.

IT'S YOUR BOSS, YOUR BOSS, female employee, who just pulled his pants down in front of you in the back room and demanded service.

And if you choose to sue him over it, you deserve a fair trial without perjury and false affidavits.

-- Tuvok (Voyager@4thquadrant.com), July 12, 1999.

No shit, Tuvok. Now let's talk about the Liberal Women's Rights movement. They'd sell out their stand in hopes of furthering their agenda??????? Sluts.

You can blame anyone you like for the fact that we have a thug in office. Gilda....get your head out of your ass, sister. Typical horny man? Tell that to any one of the women that prick has taken unwanted liberties with. Kiss my ass, just as soon as your cranial obstruction has been cleared from yours!

-- Will continue (farming@home.com), July 13, 1999.

Gilda: Don't pay any attention to Will Continue. If you have followed her posts over the past few months, you will have her anal-retentive, right-wing,ultra-conservative, judgmental personality all figured out. Ignore her.

-- lurk (lurker@maybe.soon), July 13, 1999.

This thread is worth preserving for posterity. It shows why Clinton will go down in history as the most normal, and greatest leader of all times.

He is sexually normal, he loves people, he can continue to rule even when 1000 horny republican rats attack him whoile swallowing handfuls of viagrapills green with envy. He has proven that modern woman likes to play and then likes to collect. A whore is a whore is a whore. so what is new? He proved Hillary is above all the nonsense, he showed us that Republican morons are interested only in sex voyerisms and tax cutting. He outsmarted all his enemies and turned Kennet Starr into a ridiculous eunuch.

President Clinton is great! All the phony right wing pseudo christian forget that wise king Solomon committed adultery even though he had 1000 wives and we still see him as wise. And King David caused the death of ahis lover's husband ... and Noah slept with his own daughters... why you hypocrits if you were investigated as hard as Clinton was you would all prove guilty and fall apart.

It was the Republicans with Ken Starr that rushed to display all the sexual details to our children to gain political points. Clinton tried wisely to keep his own affairs from becoming scandal and those who are guilty of that are the members of the RePUBICan party.

Kennet Starr should be tarred and feathered and sold to Saddam Hossain as a eunuc to watch the master play in his harem.

-- Zorro (z@zzz.net), July 13, 1999.

Zorro,

Would you like your *BOSS* to grope you in the back room?

Would you sue?

-- Tuvok (Voyager@4thquadrant.com), July 13, 1999.

This thread has been the perfect example of how this jerk was elected twice. WTSHTF the Clinton tune will become faint and finally die. The majority of his supporters will starve without their government support. The rest of them can continue blaming anyone but our 'verile president'. If you're lucky....you might get the tree next to his!

-- Will continue (farming@home.com), July 14, 1999.

I think Ken Starr was incompetant. He thought he could win by going for the easy bait, the easy BJ scandal gimmees--the stories he thought would make the most sensationalist headlines that would anger the most people. Well he was wrong, because Clinton is an eel. He can slip and slide through any kind of muck and emerge with that boyish, cutesy grin that the voters supposedly love. You can't help but feel sorry for Starr and his pathetic and transparent tactics.

I say that the crazy stuff in the Oral Office was bad and WJC should have resigned. But were still stuck with him. Why is that a surprise? What he did with Monica was extremely stupid (and makes you wonder about BC's ability to make proper judgements using the prefrontal lobes) but is ultimately forgivable by most of us. Something more damning was needed to get rid of him.

The best way to nail WJC with an impeachment trial should have been by gathering more careful information on the FBI file scandal, the firing of the federal prosecutors and travel office staff, the Arkansas Prison blood scandal, the violations of the War Powers Act, the funny goings-on at Mena airport, and the coverup surrounding Vince Foster's suicide(?). Any one of these comrpises a severe breach of power, sufficient for impeachment. All of these were more of a challenge to persue because they lay behind the full obfuscationist wall of the Clinton legal defence, but perhaps a crack in the wall could have arisen in due time.

I say that BC ought to be getting as much sex as he wants, perhaps 24h a day. This is safer than him having to run around with all these angers and pent up frustrations. This is better than him parading around the country talking in his messianic tones about "moral imperatives" and "making a difference" for America. It's better than him getting us into yet another war of dubious value to the national interest.
