First there was Duct Tape- Now There is DENTAL FLOSS!

I'm still laughing about the duct tape thread, see below.

Seriously, I've spent the week getting my teeth root planed and scraped for y2k. Ugh.

The hygeinist gave me GORETEX dental floss. This is a high-tech improvement on a backpacker standby. Floss is good for heavy duty sewing, can be used for shoelaces, tying anything (yes, I have put up tarps with the stuff), lightweight, easy to carry. Plus, dental care is one of the things worth doing b/c all those grains need a lot of chewing.

lou,

I compared prices at about 6 different places and for my area I discovered that the generic floss at Walmart in the bulk pack was the cheapest - about 1/3 the price per foot of the name brand small packs.

We started to become aware of the myriad of uses for dental floss when an Alaska native friend was teach Mama Bear to do bead work. It's the only thing they will use for bead work and most of thier sewing.

And you are right seraphima, floss is right up there with duct tape.

An absolute necessity after eating beef jerky LOL.

I've heard that you only have to floss the teeth that you want to keep.

Anyone that is interested in bulk floss email me privately. We can arrange something. I get it by the mile...

Will
