hi, has anyone tried this prog called PowerVCR by cyberlink.com.tw the specs are very attractive they claim it to be the first realtime software encoder. I d/l their trial but it cant detect my dc30 and it crashed when i try to use it as avi2mpg encoder on captured videos.

I downloaded the trial version and tested it(as much as I could). It seems to work fine. Fairly good picture quality. I have a PII 300mhz system with an ATI All in Wonder Pro AGP 8Mb video card. It uses up a lot of system resources, but everything stayed together. The trial version won't actually let you 'record' though. Bummer.
