There's a website now where English-speaking folks can get information on Y2k issues in Japan. just click here

AFAIK, it's only been available since early June, but updates and more data are constantly being added. Click on English and then click on Links and you will see different categories that may be of interest. A click on electricity for instance will bring up information on all the power companies that service Japan.
