where to buy gold and silver

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Back in the early 70s I bought a bunch of gold and about 5 bags of silver. When the price of gold hit $800 (I had paid $165) I sold it and paid off the farm, bought a new truck and when price dropped started buying back in. Now I want to buy more gold and junk silver. I used to deal with a company called Investment Rarities in Minniapolis, ( I think). I was very pleased with their service and wonder if they are still in business???? Anybody have a clue?

Thanks...Taz

Two companies I know are good: Camino Coin (someone can supply the phone #?), and Affordable Jewelry & Precious Metals at www.ajpm.com

Here are reliable sources for precious metals. I have dealt with them all.

Certified Mint

Affordable Jewelry & Precious Metals

The Tulving Company

The Money Changer (The Money Changer is a very ethical and honest company.)

Camino Coin Company (A very reliable and honest company.)

Taz: Try these. 1) Investment Rarities Group 331 2nd Avenue South (Minneapolis, MN?) (612) 330-0062

2) IRI Gold & Silver Center Mall of America, Bloomington, MN (612) 883-0014

3) Investment Rarities 7850 Metro Highway, Bloomington, MN (612) 853-0700

This company was vouched for by Howard Ruff in his (~1979) book "How To Prosper During The Coming Bad Years". Hope this helps.
