As we approach the critical dates...mainly 12/31/99, has anyone determined if their company will observe any holiday for New Years Day? I read that most companies will have 500 additional staff dispatched (Electric Companies), Law Enforcement will have everyone on the streets, companies will have extra staff on site and on call, etc.... My company has made a decision to skip the New Year holiday and both Friday/Monday will be considered "Regular Working Days".

We are considering a special "Company Wide New Year Party" after we get through the critical Y2K dates. I just hope they purchase and store the beer as a Mitigation Step prior to 12-31-99....... :)
