printable flyers for free distribution during y2k disruptions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Preparation Forum : One Thread

I am thinking that most people won't do much to prepare for y2k. Thus, i have prepared some flyers designed for free distribution during y2k disruptions (assuming that people download them, format them , and copy them in advance). View and copy them at

Robert, you've done an excellent thing here. And I think you've saved lives.

This *will* be noted on your permanent record. :)

Good stuff!

We've been doing sorta the same thing. Nobody is going to move until they have to, so we're testing stuff that people can make with what's in the house at the time they need it.

I've tested a water distiller that requires one box and two garbage bags (it's slow, but it works) and a solar oven based on a single apple box with one knife cut, no fitting parts together. Hope to publish pretty soon, but got a couple other projects running first.

Give people something that works, that they can do for themselves, that they already have the hardware for. That's how you leverage assistance. It's cheaper to hand them a printed page than a sack of beans.

Bob

Thank you very much for a valuable resource. This is the sort of thing that will save alot of bacon if it gets bad. Great work.

We owe you.

Thanks to everybody, and more good news. Thanks to the generosity of somebody in cyberspace who wants to remain anonymous, the flyers are now available as adobe acrobat documents, so they can be printed and copied without further formatting.
