Y2K=AoK

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

You heard it here first, Y2K is AoK.

The problem is fixed, get over it. Life goes on.

Doom and gloom is out, it is party time!

Gee...I think I finally understand what Paul Milne means when he says "You'll be dead soon."

Well, I am glad it is fixed. (I never saw the problem)

Maybe this is the way of Y2K;

Some will see the problem and prepare;

Others will live their lives with out care.

When the time comes, the bell will toll.

And each will find out Y or Y(not) to beware.

Errrrrrrrrrr. You might want to check out Information week. For some strange reason there is a shortage of IT people. Companies are ramping UP their IT depts to work on y2k, and salaries are climbing. Maybe you should tell THEM it's fixed, not us, moron! They would be very happy to hear it!

For the opinion of a real group of experts as to why the problem is not fixed, and will not be for a long while, see IEEE's June 9, 1999 open letter to Congress in support of legislation imposing severe limits on liability for Y2K failures.
