Effective immediately, I would like to see a screen shot with your recording. MARPers should be doing this anyway! For those that don't know how--it's easy! When the final score is up and you're entering your name press the F12 key. A bitmap picture will be in the \snap or \images directory. Zip this image up together with the INP file. Thanks for doing this extra step--it makes my life a little easier!

Your life easier??? you're the judge :)

anyways, the only reason i see for a screen shot is if the .inp file IS not playbackable, and why would anyone win with an inp file that doesn't play back?

I guess I'm asking why do you need the screen shot? the score in the entry should be enough for a second verification that the recording is valid, the first validation being that the playback playsback to that score.

Let me make this perfectly clear! First of all, no one will win with an INP that doesn't play back, and all INPs will be checked. The bitmap would be a 2nd verification. If you've been out of the loop: Us vs. Them doesn't playback the same everytime and I have to be extra careful checking these INPs. There was already an instance where the score in the entry hasn't matched the actual score.

In summary: 1st verification INP, 2nd is BMP, 3rd is filename!

Pat: also maybe you or others don't know this but you can hit F10 during playback which makes the verifcation go by much faster, especially for the simplerly emulated games, like galaga/space invaders, although you can still get 150% in the complicated ones like 2020bb with F10.
