Business leaders have urged the UK's biggest companies to reassess their y2k programmes following claims that up to 300 of the largest firms are playing russian roulette with the date bug....

A third of the UK's top 1000 firms are behind in their y2k work....only 40% have completed their compliance work...one in five have yet to complete their embedded chip inventories

BTW have just been to the weirdness centre of the world, East Grinstead Sussex, home of witches, cults, religions, occultists, scientology etc

Had a snoop round Saint Hill Manor the HQ of L Ron Hubbard's crew, (its meant to be open to tours)

seems to be full of young female recruits and others sporting odd uniforms and badges, there were recruiting poster for the Sea Org. and new "E-Meters", very tempting, as well as pictures of the old guy and of course books on Dianetics, there were oddly name sub- organisations and a quaint castle like study block

don't worry I'm not convinced

E Grinstead is apparently where the "ley-lines" meet

dick -

You have obviously not spent much time in the San Francisco Bay Area. East Grinsted is quaintly weird. Parts of the SF Bay Area are world-class weird: testaments to the adverse long-term effects of "recreational chemicals".

Hey, California essentially invented "weird", man! Part of its charm...

Typo: "Grinstead". Sorry.

Anyone at all talking about Scientology should check out this website... http://www.apologeticsindex.org/s04.html

Scientology and it's members are really good at destroying anyone that disagrees with them to the point that most internet providers will remove all websites that has negative info on their technology. In order to discuss their warped beliefs you have to make examples, however the church of scientology has the opinion that it is copyrighted so not open for discussion.

Just my 2 cents...

Yes Francis thats what i've heard about Scientology, stange that East Grinstead a very unassuming (boring) small Sussex market town should be the centre of weirdness, (I have been treated by a Roumanian acupuncturist called Nadia from that town)
