Here is your answer:

Snazzi's picture quality is bad. The encoding is bad. The software for making VCD's from it is bad.

It's major problem is that vcd's created with snazzi are not compatible with standalone VCD players.

Get a broadway pro or if you cant afford that, get a videonics python

I have never had a problem with my snazzi, win on cd 3.0 and philips cdd3610. Plays in laser disc players, PCs and DVDs with Sony CDQ74cn discs.

I think Snazzi is not so bad as encoder. The picture quality isn't that good, lack the sharpness. For making VCD, it comes with WinOnCD which is quite decent for making simple VCD. The results seems to play in most VCD set top, except for certain Toshiba model (some customers complained). My only problem with the Amigo software that comes with it was that the control is a bit clumsy (I need to somehow click twice on the start button, once to get the focus, 2nd to click it start). It is cheap real time encoder that does great for hobbist.
