Prompted by some incredible duh-ness in the press recently. Anyone care to add their favorites?

Gilding the lily... but I forgot to add my comments. [no,duh comments for a no,duh category].

You notice that Koskinen's remarks were from a "prepared statement". He WORKED on that statement. Your tax dollars at work.

And the words of wisdom from Tom Norris were from an FSA conference - people probably paid big bucks - in late June of 1999 - to hear: "The difference from a 'normal' crisis and a millennium crisis is the number of normally unrelated problems which will appear at the same time.

Its inspiring to watch the lightbulb flash on in these public figures. Too bad its only a 7 watt nightlight bulb.

There's a website devoted to the least intelligent things said about the Year 2000. Oddly enough, it's called duh-2000.
