MATT DRUDGE IS OUR BEST HOPE...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

He loves a good conspiracy theory, he doesn't care who he exposes or pissess off, he definitely is attuned to Y2K already and he has the wary attention of the Clinton administration and mainstream media, including lots of contacts.

Someone within our ranks needs to fill him in, completely educate him and keep him abreast of the enfolding situation. He needs to be running daily Y2K spots.

Any nominations or takers to enlist him as out Y2K spokesman? What do you think?

Drudge is going to be wary of you and your Y2Krackpot Doom brigade - as you expound on your end of the world fantasies. Perhaps if you have the chance to meet him, you should consider leaving your tinfoil hats at home that day...

FWIW, I think he will highlight Y2K stories whenever he feels that the particular event or report may be one that his visitors will be likely to find interesting.

Hope for what?

To save John Q Public from himself? Or arrogant guys like YPro above?

We're way past the point at which a major media push could stop this from moving forward. That point was two or three years ago. Personally, I'd like to get some more supplies before prices spike. Shush.

Endgame has already begun.

Would more exposure perhaps move a few off the fence? Time is running out. Panic now or stampede later. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that Drudge has been reading this forum already! I can only hope Billy and Hellary do! I'm counting on it every time I post. (ohshoot...I need ta spit...patwaaaaang...jus'a peench batwain yor gum an lip)

The Drudge Report hasn't been the same since the initial Monica leaks. I don't know why Matt Drudge is tiptoeing around Y2K. Maybe he's stuck in Pollyanna Sludge.

Matt has done a couple of good stories on Y2K....

Sorry, but at this point I'd say personal preparation is our best hope.

I have the feeling that the same group of pollys that paid off De Jaeger also paid off Drudge.
