Tired of being lied to

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

There is a very old saying in Spanish: "Mas sabe el diablo por veijo que por diablo": The devil knows more because he is old than because he is the devil. Well, I am old and a lot of things just don't make a great deal of sense to me.

The evil boogie man; Bin Ladeen was abscent for the whole time of the Kosovo massacre. Now he all of a sudden pops up and is gonna bomb American embassies. In response to this threat we close 6 of the most unimportant embassies we have.

We flew a gazillion sorties over the Balkins countless air hours without one single accident. A historic land mark in aviation safety.

The Serbs bury as many as 10,000 murdered Armenians in unmarked graves. (have you ever dug a hole big enough for even one Armenian?) Thats a lot of work. All the graves are in neat rows, some with little ID stakes on them. Reports of bodies stacked 20 ft. high. (I guess they had one of those new fangled body stacking machines) How does one stack a 150 lb body 20 ft. High?

All of these atrocities happening under the surveillence of satallite cameras capable of reading a licence plate on the ground, not to mention the heat sensing devices available that can sense a decomposing body under 3 to 4 ft of earth.

I feel gyped (excuse me for the un-pc reference to gypsies all over the world) My government is lying to me and to you. I like you sit there and eat all of this sh_t they hand us and say, "Yum Yum, give me some more."

Because I am old and smarter than the devil, I will keep my mouth shut but it doesn't have to taste good. Forgive my rant. Bill in South Carolina

Bill, if the Federal Government spin makes you mad, how about the TOTAL lack of information coming from our dear eleced officials in Columbia? Do you realize that SC ranks about 47 or 48th in the heirarchy of prepared states? I do know of at least two state agencies (DMV and DHEC) that are rumored (somewhat substantiated) to be planning to fix on failure. Man, better hunker down 'cause they plan to hide till it's over.

Bill,

I'm sorry.

I'm just surprised you didn't figure it out sooner. Must be your good nature.

I'm truly sorry. As sorry as I am that the rest of the world has an incapacity to understand the possibility of the sureal.

How is this one for a lie. I am truly a Y2K expert.

Y2k Pro .....your mother is calling.

I like you Hale...you're an alright, stand up kinda guy.

Bill,

We haven't heard much from you lately, but it's good to know that you're still around.

Your views and feelings about the way the government treats us all could be my own. Life in the USA in 1999 is like a shit sandwich; the more bread you've got the less shit you have to eat, but even a little bit is too much.

-- Hardliner (searcher@internet.com), June 25, 1999.

now you know how all those russians felt for all those years they had to put up with state owned media. I doubt they trust the media now either, but at least some of them speak their minds.

I just gotta laugh to see the straight faces on CNBC... what a bunch of buffoons.

It's not news it's "infotainment"... or maybe infocontainment or infocide is more appropriate.

What do you expect? The news budget was cut. the morons barely can write. None of them were scientists or engineers, they have no idea how the technology works and are just plain happy to belive whatever the guy in the fancy uniform tells them. (which is nothing)

Bill: Yes, we live in the most heavily propagandized nation on earth, and We the People are treated as helots in our own land. I applaud your journey to the truth. My whispered suggestion is to avert your eyes from the Imperial center, and focus on the things of God. You may want to read some Roman history: they too saw their republic turned into a militaristic Imperium, during the time of Julius Caesar. Remember always that long after the United States has crumbled to dust, men will worship Christ. Recall, too, the lines of Yeats (from The Second Coming): "the best lack all conviction, and the worst are full of a passionate intensity." All that our ancestors considered good is now considered evil, and all that was once known to be evil is considered good. Go into any theater, if you have the stomach for it, and simply watch the previews: if this is our culture, our apotheosis, then good riddance. Retreat to the periphery, for there peace still resides.

I thank you all for responding. I am usually a gentle poster but, "Daddy had too much medecine last night" and I was feeling pretty fed up with the Sh=t sandwiches. Mine always seem to have little bread and lots of filling.

Mr. Lobo: South Carolina seems to be the last state on several lists including education. I must admit however that it is a beautiful place to live. I am down in Charleston. I hope Charleston lives up to it's reputation as, "The most polite city in America" after the ball drops. Perhaps the looters will say thank you after they leave you lying bleeding on the floor.

A streak in me will not allow me to focus on the perifery of life and look to God in these trying times to come. The Jews of Europe tried that during WWII and look what it got them.

Mr. Hardliner: Thank you for remembering me. I lurk here daily and our views are very similar. I always enjoy reading your posts.

It looks like we are almost to the last chapters of this y2k saga of ours. I claim it as ours because no one else seems to be reading the same book as we are.

Bill,

I agree with you. We hear about how the news from other countries is edited by the government. We just get outright lies most of the time.

When we were going through the Lewinsky nightmare, the thing that sticks out in my mind the most is Bob Schieffer(CBS news) kneeling on the floor going through fresh transcripts of Monica's testimony, trying to find the juciest garbage he could. I thought for sure he going to do himself right on camera.

Why don't these reporters put as much effort into what's going on in the Balkans? Ferreting out the truth.

Acc. to the newspapers it was Albanians, not Armenians. But you never know.

Tom:

You are right! They don't even look alike. I told y'all I had too much medicine last night.

I also have some difficulty with the notion of 30000 sorties with only one incident. I also don't believe the material in the page posted below, but it makes for good entertainment.

I posted a thread asking why if the US knew Bin Laden is planning to strike, do they not seem to know where. Someone answered that if "intelligence" knew they wouldn't broadcast it all over the news.1) If that is true, then maybe these "targeted closings" are a cover to bust an operation elsewhere.2) Or maybe threats are being made on these locations to throw off "intelligence" so they can strike elsewhere. With the security surrounding these embassies now I think we can safely assume they are no longer targets. Let's hope it's 1) .

At the risk of getting charbroiled, I'll post these sites...yes, some out there stuff, and of course, disclaimer that I do not agree to 100% of it...but still worth looking at...

For those who doubt the "official story of the Columbine massacre... try: http://columbine.home.dhs.org/

For the constitutionalists: http://www.devvy.com/index.html

Ready to sift through the out there stuff? Try: http://www.freeyellow.com/members5/optimum1/page4.html

Curious about the Militia of Montana? http://www.logoplex.com/resources/mom/

Wondering about the NWO? So is this site: http://members.aol.com/g0vtwatch/index.html

Heard about "civilian inmate labor camps"? (aka concentration camps): http://www.awake-ministries.org/99.2/07.htm

It's hard to know what to think. I read the technical postings on the dollar/gold/silver, will it be deflation or hyperinflation...will Y2K cause nuclear war...will terrorists/China/you-name-it cause nuclear war/WWIII...will the power grid function or fall...but the truth is...No one but God really knows! I doubt I will ever be a hard core survivalist, but want to live "prepared" for Whatever from here on in.
