"What are YOU looking at?"

I followed this ring-billed gull down the shore at Estero Lagoon with my F90x and 300mm f4 lens and mounted to a tripod. I put the tripod as low as it would go slightly ahead of him to get this picture as he strolled by. My film was Velvia pushed one stop.

I find this shot has a real comic quality about it.It reminds me of someone after a big night out when they have "the wobbly boots" on.(drunk) Exposure looks spot on. The black section of background above the bird is a little distacting. But overall a good shot.

Your words "as he strolled by" captures the flavour of the image very well. Perfect timing on the sideways glance and the foot up. Good work!

Image has personality and movement! The shadow or the fact that shadow seems to hide the leading foot is a nit pick. I think a tad of opening the middle tones would bring out the foot?
