Nice landscape ... but I see two problens ... 1st- You should use a polarizer filter, the impact of the sky would be better. 2nd- The water fall on the right is a distractive element in this shot, I would crop it out. But nice shot anyway. Congratulations.

Sorry to disagree, but the lighting is bad, the color is off, the composition leaves a lot to be desired and it just isn't a good photo. Trying again at another time of day in different weather with another lens would be the best solution I'm afraid.

If you are going to include bridal veil falls, keeping it out of the extreme bottom right corner would be good, especially when it's the brightest element in the shot.

You might want to use this as a benchmark.

Don't get discouraged Anand, the lighting isn't as bad as Bob makes it out to be. However, this photo does leave room for improvement. First, waiting for the clouds to part and reveal Halfdome would add considerable dramatic impact. Second, moving to the right a bit to get the tree off the bottom of Bridalveil Fall would help. Third, getting some light on the face of El Capitan would help balance the composition.

Patience is the key to this kind of photography, especially when you're shooting from a location where every tour bus in the park stops.

Thanks all for the comments. I really appreciate this forum and the criticism. Beats "nice photo" or "bad photo".

Maybe another trip to Yosemite next spring will see me taking better pics.
