"Kostikon" lets out the truth?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This was mentioned in other threads, but it deserves its own:

Link

"Clearly, I think developing countries are going to have more problems than developed countries, but when the dust settles ... it wouldn't surprise me to find that we have more failures in developed countries because we have far more systems," Kostikon [sic] said.

Looks like "Kostikon" may have let go of his NIMBY nonsense. Comments?

Yet again, the man manages to say nothing in 100 words or less...!

What about Sen. Thompson who said something like the "disastorious (sp?)reports we've been getting have to be classified" Or something like that...Now what was he talking about...????

Anyone have the URL for the Thompson quote?

-- Linda A. (adahi@muhlon.com), June 22, 1999.

"It is increasingly clear that if there are any risks, it will be on the side of the partners and not the federal government." John Koskinen

"Internationally is the area where we have the greatest concerns." John Koskinen

This guy is, hands down, the best spearcatcher the Feds have ever found. He also made a statement along the lines of "County and local government is our biggest concern." but I don't have that quote handy. Everybody else is his concern, not the Federal Government...they are just hunkey dorey!

Where DID I put my rope?

Linda,

Senator Fred Thompson's quote occurs about 35 minutes into this video of Senate testimony:

http://www.senate.gov/~thompson/REAL/y2k.ram

It takes a couple of minutes to buffer and load the video--slower than most RealPlayer videos.

Wonder if "Kostikon" shops at Costico... yet. Or maybe he still believes his own con, uh, kon.

No sir, we would do better if you stood up TODAY and said that this is a national crisis.

Note the similarity to Flint's logic:

"Clearly, I think {p}, but it wouldn't suprise me find {NOT p}"
