Why does the Easy Video Creator put the Dat files in the segment folder?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Since the Dat files are in the segment folder instead of the MPEGAV folder where it belongs, the VCDs done in this form cannot be played on stand alone VCD players.

Are there ways to direct them to the MPEGAV folder?

Certainly YES! There is a way to do that, but... I'm too busy at the moment, just E_Mail me and then I'll explain you with details.

What version of Easy CD Creator are you using? I use Easy CD Creator Deluxe 3.0 and have never seen this problem. Note that I can't get v3.5a, 3.5b, or 3.5c to generate VCDs. Only v3.0 seems to work. None of these versions seem to work for consistent Audio CD creation, all of them place a "pop" at the end of each track. Try v3.0 for your VCDs, works for me. Use CD Architect for Audio CDs.
