Military will respond to Y2k request for assistance starting Sept. 1 999

The effects of Y2k on your Mission from the DOD website. Dod's first priority is to maintain the capability to carry out it's essential national security funtions. Military units and organizations will respond to Y2k request for assistance during Y2k transition period (1 Sept. 1999 to 3 March 2000).

In the end, government will be able to say the information was there for all to see regarding Y2k. They never tried to hide anything, they told us what they knew.

This web site was not set up for military persons to keep them informed. It was set up to keep the public informed, those that are looking.

Hiding in plain sight. Isn't that what Mr. Barrett from the War College said?

Another thought as to the New Year's Eve Party the Clinton's will be having in Washington. What better way to convince the people that all is well then to throw a big bash. Invite all the important officials of government. Invite everyone necessary to keep the governemnt rolling. All in one place. If something does happen, it will just be a matter of moving these individuals to safety. Hiding in plain sight.

The answers are before us. In the coming weeks, not months, we will see a lot of changes. Keep your eyes open. It has started.

Ah now Linda,

There you go getting me all excited about going out and getting more preps.

Check out the emergency prep page which can be clicked on the left.

If the DOD has a web site telling its employees to prepare for a "long holiday weekend", don't you think you should be prepared?

The problem is that everyone who has more than 3 days preps will be considered hoarders and part of the problem.

I'm not part of the PROBLEM you A__HOLES, I have my preps now and I'm getting others prepared as well.

And don't even THINK about trying to take my shotgun away.

On that page, click on [Emergency Preparedness]. What you see starts out with
Emergency management experts are advising that everyone treat the change from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 as you would a major winter storm and take the following steps:

Don't panic. Panic will only result in hoarding of goods and create the types of shortages government and industry leaders are trying to prevent.

Buy only what you need to get you through one to three days, such as bottled water and nonperishable foods. Don't wait until the last few days of December to stock up.

Only take enough cash out of the bank to get you through the weekend, perhaps an extra $50-100 more than you usually do.

Keep at least half a tank of gas in your car. The same applies to home heating oil.

It goes on. Piece of cake. Takes a load off!

I would suggest that those who wish to understand the mechanisms in place to deal with the Y2K Crisis and "major disaster" read my collection of reports submitted to local governments and communities. These reports are located at www.y2kcoming.com - Frith Reports.

Fema states that the Federal Response Plan operations will be functional during the Y2K conversion period. Dod states that the transition period begins Sep 1, 1999 and ends March 31, 1999.

When Senator Bob Bennett stated on May 23 interview with 60 minutes that a national level mechanism is not in place for martial law - he was correct....REMEMBER...it all goes back to "it depends on what the word is...is....Especially - review the June 7th report - "military support to civil authorities and free market resources"
