I'm calmed down now. Question on m35b13 and rc1

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

Ok, so I was really pissed off when I wrote that last message. Actually, I can't afford to give any funds away for anything other then my dam bills I have! Personally, I will see about doing something special for the one who can accomplish that score I mentioned. Perhaps half off on one of my Ultimate joysticks or something like that. Anyway, I wanted to ask how come the newer ver. of mame are changing to snap now instead of pcx?!?!? It's getting rediculous. I have too many folders that hold pictures I've captured from games I've played and just want to put all of them in one folder. Now I have another one. Snap. That's why I'm sticking to m35b12 for a while longer untill I see what happens with m35rc2 or mame35 final.

I believe it was done so if they changed the snapshot format they wouldn't have to change the directory name anymore. So if they changed the snapshot format to say .tiff they wouldn't have to change the png dirname to tiff, they could keep it snap.

I think the win32 images directory should be synonymous with the snap directory... but that's another story. dang that would be nice to get that zig zag score and grab a good price on a cool joystick. hey steve, how do you think the Ultimate compares to the HotRod? I'm looking for a joystick that will acuratley emulate holding the joystick in the diagonal and making a pacman or ms. pacman navigate automatically in both the directions of the diagonal, like it does in the real arcade. (this might even be an emulation problem but no one ever seems to know what i'm talking about... maybe i just remember being better at ms. pacman :)
