Tips for avoiding the Worm.Explore.Zip virus

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips for avoiding the Worm.Explore.Zip virus How to avoid the Worm.Explore.Zip virus:

-The virus is transmitted via e-mail and ruins files on infected computers. It appears to come from a friend or acquaintance and reads: ``Hi (your name)! I received your e-mail and I shall send you a reply ASAP. Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs.''

-The message is harmless unless you open the file attached to the e-mail. Use caution in opening any attached file, and report unusual or suspicious messages to your e-mail provider or system administrator.

-If your computer is infected, repairs are available from several online sites. For example, the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center has a program to remove the virus. More information is available at: http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/kill-ez.html

I told you so! Microsoft sucks.
Their software is to your computer like leaving your wallet and power of attorney on a table in a busy bar while you take a leak is to your wealth.
Simple to protect -- but a hassle -- don't accept ANY e-mail attachments from anyone you don't know. And those you do accept, scan with latest virus software updated for this, BEFORE you open or run it.
