You are out on the roads alot. Can you confirm info on Scarry Gary's site about blue and white signs?

From the Burgh, the STEEL CITY, BLACK & GOLD :)

If his contention is true, why would they use units of miles. Very few outside the U.S. would know what that meant.

Z;

I have to guess very few INSIDE the USA know how to read it. That's the point. :) I'm just trying to confirm if they are out there.

Flame Away,

I just received a brochure from AAA (the auto club) pushing their cell phone package. On the front cover in color is a picture of those signs, white letters on a blue background. The top sign shows a picture of a telephone and says Emergency Aid, and another sign right under that say 5 MI. So, it would appear that AAA knows about this and even set up the picture for the brochure, probably months ago. If anyone wants to call AAA, maybe they can tell you about it. In the meantime, it doesn't look too ominous, but perhaps the public wasn't advised of these new signs in a timely manner.

I think the blue and white signs are real BS!

I've seen these signs for years, they are nothing new. They are small and of use to police and traffic department for location and snow plowing.

Look for them on bridges or overpasses or major ramps for traffice interchanges. They are all over Ohio. I am not referring to the std. mile markers - I am not that stupid. ;)
