Prints are 1/8" too small

My prints are consistantly 1/8" too small in width. If I process an image at 29.125" it prints at only 29". My Colorspan System XII-72 has yet to print an image at correct widt

We had a very similar problem. We were printing an image that had to be to exact measurement, and we kept coming up short. Under "Device setup" in the panel menus there is a page accuracy option. If you choose "maximum," print quality supposedly suffers slightly, however, you get maximum accuracy on the dimensions. I would check that out if I were you.

Colorspan may not readily admit it but there is a problem with the length and width accuracy on the Series XII printers. Upgrading to firmware above version 1.71.5020 is supposed to address the print length accuracy problems. Having a new revised encoder strip installed will be necessary to compensate for the print width inaccur
