video-cd.com -- bad internet company?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I wish I checked this forum first before ordering a VCD from video-cds.com... Is this company really bad? If so, what can I do to get a refund? Will I get my CD that I paid for?

I've ordered from them and they do not deliver as promised. The Rush hour that they sell is made from a pirate source. Lethal Weapon 4 and X Files are pirates made from screener tapes. Custoemr service is awful. I sent email for a replacement order for X Files and still have not received it(almost a month ago). you sometimes get what you pay for there. However, as I have learned, if they want to get a movie out to you quickly they give a pirate that is five dollars or more less than what you paid. My X Files movie cost me 15.00 but it was a pirate copy that could be bought for only 8.00. So far www.video-cds.com is only in it for the money. Customer service is ver bad, the guy who was suppossed to take of Customers did not even check his email for two months. When the stock of Original copyrighted movies is gone, they get pirated copies to give to you. And worse yet, shipping is ludicrous and so is the free movie offer. Go to www.videocds.com with the hyphen. They take care of customers way better and movies ship to you in excellent condition.

I received email from www.videocds.com (without hypen) or they online Movie, they have classic video in DVD format and the DVD format is for all region. Does this means that it can be play with my region 1 DVD?

VMan-

Movies on DVD designated as All Regions can be played on any DVD player. They do not have the Region lock out program. Your machine can play Region 1 and All Region DVD movies. Look on the back for a Globe the number should be in the middle. A globe with no number is regionless.
