greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I know some of you you may think that this question has already been answered but I was just wondering why do you need a capture card for? Cant you just plug your vcd player in and record the channel with your vhs? If not how the hell do you do it? cheers Roger Spinks

The capture card is for people who want to make VCDs from VHS sources and VCDs from DVD sources. Many people in the US do not have VCD players, they use thier computers and as such have to have TV-out to splice the video into a VHS machine. Basically the Capture card CAPTURES data and a TV-Out port sends data to a TV.
