Do you have Microsoft Active movie player? or Microsoft's media player? Sure you do. They come with windows 95/98 If not, then get media player from tons of places on the net. Works great Mike

Media Player works good and so does ActiveMovie, but sometimes they don't play VCDs. So far the best VCD Software I've used is Creative Labs SoftMPEG, it comes with the 3D Blaster Banshee, should be around $80-$99 now. Another good one is VCD Power Player.

You can not download good Video CD players for free. If you do they are pirated and sometimes older copies. The best thing is to visit XING or Cyberlink and purchase players from them. The best one is PowerDVD for $45.00, it does not need a DVD drive but is both a software DVD and Video CD decoder. The best part is you can just get a DVD drive when the prices drop and you can have the best of both worlds. It will play all standard Video CDs smoothly(except SVCD and DVCD) and is easy to use. It looks like a stand alone DVD player.
