U.S. trade deficit sets record
March imports help shatter previous mark, far surpassing analysts' estimates.

The point here is that we're importing more stuff than ever, regardless of whether or not our trading partners are effectively addressing Y2k issues.

Maybe this means that companies are stocking up on things now because they know they won't be able to get them after the rollover. One can only hope some corporate stockpiling is going on...
