Hair Conditioner and Scalp Stimulant

This recipe is good for all hair types and can be used daily. It only takes 5-10 minutes to make. Store in a dark glass bottle and shake before use. Recipe yeilds approx. 14 trearments. This Conditioner helps stimulate circulation.

1 tsp lemongrass oil

5 tsp rosemary oil

3 tsp lavendar oil

4 tsp basil oil}

2 tsp lemon oil

2 tsp sandalwood oil

10 tsp jojoba oil

Combine oils and keep in a cool dark place. Massage 2 tsp onto dry scalp and rub a little onto the ends of your hair. Only cover the scalp and ends. Wrap your head in plastic or use a shower cap. Then wrap again with a very warm damp towel. Leave on 30 to 45 minutes. Rinse and shampoo. Can also be applied in the shower to wet hair. Massage, leave on hair 3 minutes, rinse. This conditioner has a strong fragrance and tingles.

Herbal Rinses

Hair can be kept soft and shiny with herbal rinses. Pour the infusion over the hair after washing it and rinsing thoroughly. It's even better to use a bowl to catch the infusion in as it runs off the hair, and to pour it over the hair several times. Regular use of some of these infusions will add tints and highlights to the hair.

For Brunette Hair: Use an infusion of rosemary, sage, parsley or catnip. Rinsing with a pot of black tea will darken the hair if used over a period of time, and a tablespoonful of lemon juice in the final rinse will eventually add highlights.

For Blonde Hair: Use an infusion of camomile or marigold. A tablespoonful of lemon juice in the final rinse will help lighten the hair over time, but also tends to be drying.

For all hair colours and types: Yarrow, catnip, nettle and parsley make excellent rinses to improve shine and condition

You may keep a small bottle in the shower with enough shampoo for about one week, if you wish. Use approximately 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per application. This shampoo will not produce mountains of billowy suds as it does not contain strong foaming agents. It cleans gently with minimal sudsing.

Note: Before use, lightly shake shampoo to mix the oil that may separate from the rest of the ingredients.

Hey old Git...just finished printing your info and putting into my y2k note book. Thanks for all the interesting and useable bits of information. A lot of them will be used with or with out y2k. I wish we would see more posts like this rather than so much of the garbage (useless) that has been seeping into the forum for the past two months. Thanks again....
