Im a regular poster (and lurker) but Ill warn you in advance that Im using a pseudonym email for this post. Why? Because I value my privacy and I always use an alternate email address (its real, though) when posting to this forum. For the record, Ive never been flamed, and am neither a Polly nor a Doomer, just someone who is concerned and trying to find out everything I can about The Year 2000 Computer Problem. In the past, Ive also contributed to this forum--I hope--in a positive way.

From the fluke file, I found out today that the .nu extension Websites are growing by leaps and bounds. So. . .I registered (and got it) for www.wal-mart.nu

The question is: what to do with it?

One thought might be (for Sams lovers--Y2k or not) to post weekly shopping experiences and best buys for your area. To do this, I would need to collaborate with someone who has server space and expertise. Also--would such a site be of value here in your opinion?

I appreciate all of your suggestions and observations on this.

I noticed last week at Sam's in N.TX was carrying blue 55 ga;/ plastic storage barrels for $20.

Never seen this before...go 2-4 x month for cattle & horse feed.

Also, Sam's in Dallas on Coit & I-90 has a gas station & sells gasoline about $0.020 less per gal.

Could I add Sam's currently has coolers, allegedly good for keeping ice solid for five days at 90 degrees? Around $20. Also Puddintame told me Sam's propane tanks were around $5 cheaper than Lowes'. Saw they had a big display of Coleman lanterns but didn't check price. Millstone gourmet whole bean coffee is up to about $10/2lbs (but still better than supermarket price at around $8-9 for ONE pound), and Hawaiian bean coffee is around $8-9/2lbs. Would give you more info, was there twice this week, but receipts have gone to proof-of-purchase requirement for free Electronic Arts video game! And you know that remembering prices if sooooo hard for an

Was at Walmart yesterday basic Curad bandages bonus box of 90 each 3/4 inch for $1.18--that's a big savings in a family of children. Stocked up.

Poster, please consult a lawyer about this. I would expect Wal-Mart stores to send their attorneys knocking very shortly. This is nothing to toy around with. The world's largest corporations do not like having their Federally registered trademarks played with. Please understand the tenor of this post. I am not trying to scold, I just don't want to see unintended trouble. The trouble can be serious. This is no joke.
