WEDDING COURSES

Why isn't anyone interested in holding wedding photograhpy courses? I know YMCA used to conduct such courses but just when I waited for their next intake, the course ceased. Is the response very bad?

I have also attended Kodak Singapore conducting seminars or talks on wedding but seemed to stop for a long time now. Can anyone tell me of any talks, seminars or courses in Singapore about Wedding Photography? Thanks

Yes, Boon Lay CC do conduct courses on wedding photography. Consists of 4-5 sessions on the techniques & culture of wedding photography. They have both English & Chinese version.

Are you talking about commercial wedding ?

If not why not pick up one of the several books on the subject. I suppose learning under fire would be one way. Actually you learn faster if you are actually doing it - risk losing some friends by voluntering to help cover a few weddings ( try starting off as accessory photographer and the only one). It is not everyone cup of tea.

The first Wedding Photography course was conducted at the YMCA Orchard Rd in 1989. The course was conducted only once a year for students who had completed the Module 1 and II Basic Photography Course.

Other photography courses that were conducted during the period from 1986 - 1993 were: 1) Basic Photography 2) Intermediate Photography 3) Wedding Photography 4) Basic Professional Photography 5) Commercial Photography

Fashion photography was conducted at NAFA, Selegie Campus and at the Canon Photographic Club during that period.
