State of WA: Y2K-Preparedness Database

Cascadians and interested "non-mossbacks" -

The state of Washington now has an online database listing Y2K preparations for local services, including utilities, banks, and local government: WA State: Year 2000 and You

Among other information resources (such as the "Washington State Year 2000 Readiness Report"), the site provides a service called "Your Personalized Year 2000 Profile", which apparently pulls together info from the "infrastructure" companies in your area and tells you what's what.

Someone up in that neck of the woods may want to try this out and report on the results.

Well...having moved from Wa State 3 years ago, I "took" the test. It only gives you the address and phone # of the electric co, telephone co, etc where I guess you can call and ask them if their bank is compliant, etc. A waste of time and web space.
