Did SAL ever operate RS-2 locomotives in central Florida or were they all RSC 2 Some with the center wheels removed ?

I'd answer yes. It is my understanding that nearly all the RS-2s and RS-3s were assigned to Florida. Check Warren Calloway's SAL Power book to be sure.
