Happy April 15th!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Let's go on the record with a specific prediction:

WILL THE IRS BE COLLECTING TAXES APRIL 15, 2000, JUST AS IT HAS BEEN, BUSINESS AS USUAL?

I say "Yes". There will be unusual aspects to life in America in early 2000, but not paying income taxes won't be one of them.

Anybody disagree?

Answers

Yep.

Everything's going to hell in a handbasket.

I could give a tupenny f@#k about the IRS right now, screw them, my tax dollars are bombing the crap out of innocent people in Europe.

If they are lucky they might be able to screw some money out of us next year via a flat tax.

And I'll be doing my best to avoid THAT.

Whether or not the IRS is collecting from the sheeple; YOU don't have to bend over for the annual reaming.

A,

I have a question.

Have you ever not filed using Uncle Otto's techniques, does it work? And do you get royally screwed eventually when the audit-meisters drag you into court?

This is a serious question. Can you avoid paying tax?

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), April 15, 1999.

Andy, I totally agree with you. Also, that's a great question regarding not paying income tax and I'd love to hear the answer.

I think the IRS, as it exists today, is toast and one thing that the disruptions will cause is a power shift to local government. I thought that perhaps that contingency would be in place before the end of this year but seeing how the government has handled the situation thus far I don't think that will happen anymore. The disruptions themselves will force the government to reorganize itself due to problems simply because it functions on a reactionary basis.

I filed last in 1991 when I learned about the income tax scam from Irwin Schiff. www.ischiff.com He wrote a book called the Federal Mafia for about $20. I have saved thousands since! I also bought Otto Skinners book. They both reveal how Americans are being scammed every April 15th.

An IRS Agent Joe Banister in San Jose, Calif. recently learned the truth and resigned from the IRS. Put his name in your search engine and read his amazing story! Before I stopped paying income tax, I took some precautions and put all my assets in different trusts. I'm judgement proof. This is great since I have an ex wife! Keepa you hands off my money!!!

The IRS wrote me a few letters and then had the US Tax Court in Wash. DC try to have me argue the case. However I beat the Tax Court by challenging their jurisdiction. I flat refused to pay their $65 filing fee and told them they had no jurisdioction over me. I then got a dismissal for lack of jurisdiction!!! I have not heard from the IRS since!

The US Tax Court is not located in any state, but only in Wash. DC. That is because they do not have any jurisdiction in any state!!!

Hey guys, stop being sheeple and wake up and spend a few dollars on some books that are advertised on the internet. Just do a search with- IRS fraud patriot - and you will get informed real fast!

Did you know that the IRS is not a government agency? Yes you can prove it to yourself! Check any mail you've gotten from them and you will see that they paid postage! All government agencies get FREE POSTAGE!!!

Check the IRS Agents cars! They DO NOT have excempt licence plates!!! That should tell you something!

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

THE CONSTITUTION SAYS THAT "NO DIRECT TAX SHALL BE LAID"!!!

WHY ARE YOU PAYING TAX THAT YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY????

You waive you fifth Amendment Rights by signing your 1040 under penalties of perjury! YOUR RIGHTS ARE ABOVE THE LAW! ANY LAW!!

Get informed about your Constitutional Rights and read the Bill of Rights on the Internet!!! And then act accordingly!

The Bill of Rights protects you against OPPRESSIVE GOVERNMENT!!!

Perhaps I'm just hypersensitive to the tax issue this year...however, I rarely watch t.v. (you folks are much more interesting and entertaining) but even when I channel surf there is major "IRS is going to get you" stories on. Dateline just tonight was airing one about "tax cheats". Maybe it's just my imagination, but I'd say the boys are worried and are putting out some heavy PR to offset losing ground with internet information like Thurston Bell, Joe Bannister, et al.

-- Patricia (asap@aloha.net), April 15, 1999.

The IRS has admitted that over 35 million Americans have stopped filing income tax! I imagine, most of them are self employed. Are any of them in jail? Just a hand full, who did not know that the IRS has no jurisdiction over them. These fools went into the IRS offices to argue their point with the IRS Agents. Then they end up losing their homes! Once you stop filing also stop dealing with them!! If you deal with them, you are admitting they have jurisdiction over you!

Never ever deal with them after you have stopped filing! I received a summons to apear before an IRS agent. I did not bother to show up! Never heard anything about that! If he had jurisdiction, he could have hauled me into court!

Jurisdiction (authority) IS THE MAGIC BULLIT WITH THE IRS!!! You only deal with them through the mail and in all your letters tell them they have no jurisdiction over you! It has worked for me! I have not heard from the IRS since 1989!!! It's great to live free from government fraud! If you want to be free, you have to have guts and the desire to be free!!!

Did you know that all the money you pay to the IRS (including your social security payment) goes to the Federal Reserve Bank in payment for the Federal debt! Simply check on the back of every check you ever paid to the IRS and then you will know you've been had!!!

The federal debt is another scam. Every dollar in your wallet has been borrowed into circulation. Why does a country as great as ours have to borrow our money from a private bank? Yes, the federal reserve bank is a private bank owned by mostly foreign bankers. Check your yellow pages and they are listed with all the other private banks!

You're a fool if you pay income tax!!

Andy,

There's a difference between fantasy and reality.

Spinning anti- (or pro-) Clinton fantasies generally has no significant ill consequences. First amendment and all that.

Spinning anti-government, anti-tax fantasies generally has no significant ill consequences, at least for the spinner. Ditto.

But believing that anti-tax fantasies are real can have significant unpleasant consequences if you cross the boundary between fantasy and reality to act on that belief.

How much do you really know about the posters advocating that one not pay ones income taxes? How can you verify their claims? If what they're advocating is incorrect, who suffers the consequences if you follow their advice -- they, or you? Will they take your place in court?

>This is a serious question. Can you avoid paying tax?

This is a serious response: Perhaps for a while, but then you pay a penalty of some sort or go to prison. Reference: biographies of Al Capone.

-- No Spam Please (No_Spam_Please@anon_ymous.com), April 15, 1999.

No Spam,

Thank you - of course you are correct on several points especially Mister Capone. Saw his cell at Alcatraz - not very big, couldn't swing a cat etc.

So - I have no desire to go that route.

However, all the reading I've done on the creation of the fed, the IRS, how in 1913 murky and nefariously criminal shenanigans pushed through an illegal bill, Jekyll Island etc. etc. all indicate that the whole scam is highly illegal and is perpetuated now through fear and intimidation - audits, tax penalties, IRS agents, jail etc. etc.

The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Anyhow, the IRS is the least of my worries, I am collecting my last refund touch head very soon and that will be that as I do not see how on earth they can perpetuate this sytem this time next year.

Other than a flat tax.

It's all very academic as I believe the whole financial system will implode anyway.

Got gold :)

"The Constitution says No Direct taxes shall be laid." Then why don't people get as worked up over this as they do over "right to bear arms?" I realize that arms mean freedom, but taxes just beat you do death slowly and keep you in line by terror. Why are we raising bloody hell about taxes?

-- gilda jessie (jess@listbot.com), April 15, 1999.

Screw the IRS, I agree with you re: the IRS being what they are, illegal. However when I didn't pay up they simply took my money out of the damn bank. I couldn't do anything about it. I even had an account which I never informed anyone about, let alone the IRS, and they found that account and took $1200.00 out of it. I asked the Credit Union how the IRS found out about my account, "Well we paid you some interest and thus we had to report that to the IRS." They have connected everything and now it is time to disconnect. "To hell with the IRS!"

-- freeman (freeman@cali.com), April 15, 1999.

The simple fact of the matter is that your fellow Americans are co-conspiritors in this giant Ponzi Scheme called the Federal Government. We all want something for nothing. We get mad at those who don't want to play the greed game anymore because they might "queer the play" for the rest of us (Hey! Throw his ass in jail 'cause he won't pay HIS FAIR SHARE!). I think that most Americans know or have a pretty good idea what is REALLY going on but they either are, or think they are profiting from the scheme(s) or afraid of "rocking the boat" and getting caught. Noble American is becoming an oxymoron. The stakes are WAY too high for things to change except for the worse. Sorry to be a downer-but there it is.

The IRS has No jurisdiction? Hmmm...I must have dreamed Leona Helmsly was sent to jail for tax evasion...

-- a (a@a.a), April 15, 1999.

I have been listening to Irwin Schiff on the radio for a few years, every day, m-f. I am still waiting for someone to call up and bitch about being in trouble or losing his house. He has real audio so you can listen for yourselves. 4 to 5 pacific.

Helmsley went to jail because she had a lousy lawyer. I once had a little beef with the IRS a few years ago. I went to a lawyer and he wanted $25,000 because I was in big trouble. So I did nothing. And nothing happened. I am convinced that if I went his route things would not have worked out that well. And I saved $25,000.

Don't pay. Listen to Irwin.

-- Villain (villain@thedoghousemail.com), April 15, 1999.

Ignore the IRS, the thugs who use terrorism and threats to extort money, and try to convince 'citizens' that they are required to pay. The IRS is a figment of its own imagination. There are at least 50 million people in the US who were invited back 'into the system', by the IRS a couple years ago audaciously on TV. I saw it,...some cadaverous-looking woman smiling rictus-like....beckoning to the fearful with her bony finger. If the IRS is admitting to 50 million, you know there must be more. Sic semper tyrannis!

-- Donna Barthuley (moment@pacbell.net), April 15, 1999.

Just found this! :-)

-- Gayla Dunbar (privacy@please.com), April 15, 1999.

Leona Helmsley went to prison because she filed a return that had falsyfied information on it. If you simply do not file, they then loose their jurisdiction and cannot put you in jail. Once you file, they got you! You are then under their jurisdiction.

Some of the Tax informed patriots keep on telling you how to get out of paying tax. However none of you take the time and money to order the above recommended books! Just keep on paying, you SUCKERS!!!

And for the one who lost $1200 out of his bank account, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!! If you leave your money in the bank when you stop paying tax, you might as well throw it out in the street! That would be just as STUPID!!!
