Y2K Corporate Counsel Institute to Explore Who Plaintiffs and Defendants Will Be Next Year

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April, 9, 1999--As experts around the world continue predicting the most likely fallout from the Y2K computer bug, corporate counsel from around the nation will assemble this month in New Orleans to sort through a dizzying array of litigation possibilities.
"The Year 2000 Corporate Counsel Institute," presented by New York-based Fulcrum Information Services, will take place on Wednesday, April 21, and Thursday, April 22, at The Westin Canal Place Hotel in New Orleans. Faculty for the conference includes in-house counsel at major corporations, private practice lawyers with extensive technology litigation experience, senior consultants and software executives specializing in the Y2K bug, and business school professors.
The conference will assess the most likely plaintiffs and defendants in the aftermath of the "Millennium Bug" and will explore the range of litigation preparedness strategies available to corporate counsel. There will also be extensive analysis presented regarding the creation of dispute resolution plans, including arbitration and mediation options.
