miro DC30 problems

Hello Everybody,

I am having one miro DC30 card for video editing we are unable to get quality from that(slight jerks appearing)

I am using UDMA 6.2 GB IDE Hard disk Drive

You should invest in a 7,200 - 10,000 RPM SCSI disk drive for capture and playback. (at least one) Check onsale.com for bargains on IBM ZX SCSI drives and new Hitachi drives in 9GB and 18GB sizes.

It sounds like you don't have a fast enough hard drive. I would recommend a minimum of a 7,200 RPM SCSI hard drive. You can get a good 9.1 gig drive for around 450 bucks if you shop around. You might also be able to use the new ULTRA-IDE hard drives that are out now. They are very cheap and are also 7,200 RPM's. They can handle data rates at around 3.7 megs/sec, which is perfect for DV.
