This chart is about one week old. I've seen some from last summer, but if this chart is even close to accurate, the situation is worse than I thought (and I had heard recently that Gartner was following de Jager's line).

Comments? Scary. Depressing. Makes me want to be out in my garden, steadily digging up more space for corn, potatoes, wheat, vegies, beans, you name it.

makes me want to order another ton or two of basics, along with the light 20 gauge shotguns for my daughter and fiancee (hey, we're getting married Friday!!) and lots of ammo for them.

It makes me more convinced we face an 8 (serious depression) to 10 (well, you know, what happens when cultures die?).

Makes me want to build up my library, who knows what I might need to know.

Makes me want to stop total strangers on the streets and try to warn them.

Makes me value the last, golden, bittersweet days of a dying culture and time.

I find it very disturbing that the semiconductor industry is only at a 0 - 2 level. How are they going to manufacture all of those replacement chips?

Thanks for your input folks. Sorry for the non-sense stuff after the post. Looks like we have some kind of JavaScript war going on here! Some people just don't GET IT, and those that do must make fun of those that don't I guess. Just be prepared, and spread the word. Family comes first.
