Greg, the light looks too hard and straight on for me to fully appreciate the abstract. Maybe if flashed from the side some interesting textures might be evident. Good luck.

In echo to Mike's comment, I'd put this into the category "real" as opposed to "abstract". Zeroing in on the ice alone could transform the shot into an abstract. Nevertheless, I like the view of the icicles in their environment.

Abstract? This is not an abstract. Sidelighting would have helped. Moving in close would have helped. The exposure seems correct though.

My personal definition of an abstract is an image that does not immediately convey the identity of the subject, but some sort of patterns and/or textures. Identification may come eventually, but is not the subject of the image.
