Another unrealised Y2K chip problem!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Did you know that some of the grave sights in cemeteries have a problem with Y2K. Couples as they were getting on late in years bought grave sights and head stones with their names and date of birth mounted. The date of death was (because they were not dead yet) indicated as 19**. The problem is if they live until after Dec 31 this year there would be no way they could indicate the correct date of death with out filling in the 19 and ingrave 20** and no computer chip involved. Just chips of gravestone.

There was a thread on this in the last couple of weeks, ended with some very imaginative tombstone inscriptions. Buried in the archives somewhere, I expect. Not for those who think this is a grave problem.
