I'm not sure what I'm doing. Forgive me if I make a fool of myself. Picture was taken in the Northeastern corner of the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge.

Well, you obviously know what you are doing when it comes to photographing birds!

The only thing I would probably have done differently is to eliminate some of the "dead" space above the bird's head.

The lighting and exposure look great. The out of focus thing partially covering tail feathers is kind of distracting as well as the rusted bracket.

I agree with Brad on the distracting elements but that's a minor criticism. The bird itself is great! Nice light, wonderful detail, especially in the light brown feathers. The white feathers look a bit over-exposed, but that may just be my monitor. Nice shot!

Apart from the less than optimal perch (from a nature point of view) the bird itself is very well taken. Good shot!
