I've been burned too many times by manufacturers who claim their products are Macintosh compatible. The Digital Camera section doesn't adequately answer which of these cameras will absolutely work in a seamless manner with the Mac. I'm specifically interested in the under $1,000 range with megapixel resolut

I use an Olympus 500 and an Olympus 620 with macs. They both work nicely. However, if you take a lot of pictures, it pays to buy a card reader (several types available) rather than trying to use the included cables because of the time it saves. You can wait several minutes to download even a few pictures with cables or you can use a card reader and have them come up instantly on the desktop.
