I don't buy this contrail sickness stuff, but I thought people might like to know that there are contrails in the skies over Washington, DC and Maryland right now. Go take a look.

"If your a contrail skeptic how come your feeding the Y2K cult paranoia fire? "

That's because the same type of person who would be inclined to believe in contrails are the same type that are prone to Y2Kracpotism, fears of the NWO, the U.N., and all sorts of other irrational fears.

I'm in a flight path and witness at least 25 a day and I haven't been sick........just a bunch of crap!

Those contrails that you see have been tested by emergency personel here in Georgia and contain isometrized phtyonutrients with imbedded mercury diodes. The mercury acts as a carrier agent for ultra-polymered flu symptoms, granulated into bubonic sugar units, which ,when inhales, produce a psuedo-psychedelic toxic delerium that causes you to believe that just becasue the computers are breaking down ,the world is going to end.. You and your family should definitely remain indoors, with garbage bags over the windows, until an EMT unit comes to take you to the mental hospital. RiGHt DietER!?!

Darn. Does that mean the tinfoil helmet *definitely* doesn't work?

Cash,

Only if you pad it with lots of T.P. and tape it on with duct tape.

Ok, one more time (with feeling),

Contrails are caused by jets passing through cold moist air.

In the Winter, the air is colder.

Therefore, there are more contrails.

Since it's Winter now, perhaps THAT'S why there are so many contrails.

Oops! They're gone. Atmospheric conditions are no longer conducive to the creation of contrails now.

Wow! Where did all of these guys come from?

There have been reports from 40 states about this, with people claiming to be sick from it. I also saw the "contrails in Maryland this morning from 9am to 9:30 am. I counted 21 aircraft flying from north to south. then there were no more the rest of the day. Call it whatever you like, I call it unusual. There was a link here yesterday of a site set up to investigate.

I watched about 10 to 15 contrails be created while taking a cigarette break back in February. They all puffed up, some got blown into wierd-looking clouds. This all in less than 10 minutes. Pretty good air show I thought. It was probably the same day as the NASA photo the contrail fans are looking at. This was over suburban Maryland. I don't know anyone who got sick from it.

There are hundreds of planes flying over most Americans heads all day long.

My advice for anyone who thinks they're getting sick from contrails? Look for another source of your sickness.

Where do these sick contrail discoverers live? We have clean air here and can see dozens of contrails here every day the sky is blue. Have for years.

But, yesterday another 4-prop plane flew over our house at about 1000 feet. This year there have been a number of such 3 or 4 different types although we haven't seen props for many, many years. They always fly at a very low altitude.

I'm wondering if this is the Red Pickup Truck syndrome, but yesterday while driving home on a beautiful sunny day, I noticed criscrossing contrails all over the sky. Some fanned out and it made unusual long cloud patterns. I've never noticed anything like it before. Remembering this thread, I ran in and grabbed my hubby's digital camera and took pictures. I called hubby out to take a look, and he was surprised too. (I can't download them yet, the cable for the camera is at my hubby's office, he said he'd email them to me.) We live in the suburbs of Philly.

Wondering if it's just due to the fact that air traffic has been increasing tremendously in the past several years, and that now that people are mentioning the contrails, we see them more.
