I tested with a Minox C, unloaded, I can fire 45 shots in 30 sec. With my Canon AE-1, I can fire 25 pictures in 30 sec. Looks like Minox is twice as fast as 35mm camera without motor drive.

My scores: Minox C 42 shots in 30 sec. Contax T2 23 in 30sec; Leica R5 24/30sec; Zeiss Ikon Contessa 17/30 ( it has 270 degree stroke ) Rollei 35 20/30 sec( left hand film advance ). Minox is indeed almost twice as fast as 35mm cameras, including compact with auotomatic film advance.

35 in half minute with EC, 40 with IIIs. I thought EC was faster, but it is not, because I cannot always put a finger on its button, when the camera is closed, it covers up the button.
