DCC computer cards

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Wiring for DCC : One Thread

I was wondering if you had any info, on any companies that sell products already made that control a dcc train right from the computer. Like by using a plug in card, or do you have to buy something else, like a fully operational dcc controler. Iam new to the world of dcc, but want to be able to control my train from the computer only and use nothing else, but keep it cheap. Any Info you can give me, would be great help.

Thanks: Jeff dsp981@hotmail.com

Check out the Do-It-Yourself links on this page in the Wiring for DCC web page: http://members.aol.com/wire4dcc/diy.htm

CVP and Rock Junction has kit DCC command station, boosters, and accessory decoders.

North Coast has $17 decoder kits.

This page also contains links to groups who have chosen to roll their own DCC systems.
