Jane Bryant Quinn Gets It?!?

I seem to recall someone on this forum saying that Jane Bryant Quinn Gets It. Ha! In todays newspaper she said she thinks, "most things are going to work. Maybe the storm will hit and maybe not. If it hits, crews will be standing by to fix things quickly." She plans to have all her financial records, but leave her money in the bank where it is insured by the FDIC. Shell have a little extra cash at home. Credit cards will work, because last Christmas she used her 00 card without a hitch. She will have the basics (extra food, wood, water, etc.) as for a hurricane or winter storm. She ended by saying, "I dont think Ill need them, but I believe in contingency plans." I dont think she Gets It.

She also proudly announce that she is making no changes to her investments. She gets something else, but not "it",

I hope Quinn wakes up soon. I'll be following her magazine articles to see when she realizes the severity of Y2K. She's not stupid. When she truly gets it, she'll probably make her investment changes BEFORE writing a column advising others to do the same.

Quinn has been a DWGI from the get-go, maybe in reaction to Robert Samuelson, who GI last summer, said so in a big way in the Washington Post, and hasn't said much of anything since.
