Last minute Valentine gifts for your Y2K sweetie

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Load of good chicken manure for the new vegetable garden, box of shotgun shells, oil lamp with wicks and oil, aromatherapy candles (to drown out the smell of rotting garbage--and the chicken manure), wellies (rubber boots) for the new vegetable garden--any other suggestions?

For either sex--if you're really romantic, order a nice bottle of champagne and a loaf of French bread packed nicely in a basket and delivered to your sweetie at work with this note: "A loaf of bread/A jug of wine/And thou beside me in the wilderness/Were paradise enough." Omar the Tentmaker (I think that's the quote, that book is packed already, close enough anyway.)

Thanks Old Git. You are romantic and practical too. That is the sort of fellow that is good to have around.

Might I also suggest non-hybrid seeds, tomatoe cages, garden fensing, and some chocolate? The chocolate is for me. LOL

I really appreciate this post. Thanks.
