Camera: Olympus OM2-S, Lens: 50mm Macro, Film: Kodak print film (probably 100 ISO) Year: 1987 (that's why I don't remember the film type!) Exposure: Unrecorded These are pretty common butterflies in the Midwest during mid to late summer. However, they are difficult to approach...This one was photographed in the morning when it was a little lethargic.

This is nice and close to this skittish butterfly. I like the detail on the further antenna -- it looks like a string of beads. The highlights in the wood chips at lower right are a little distracting -- maybe the whole picture is a tad overexposed?
