I am the great-grandson of a special agent for the Seaboard Airline. I recently was given his badge and part of an article about his murder. He was murdered in Esom (Hill?), Georgia and died in Cedartown. He was killed by train robbers that he was tracking. I don't have much more information than that. I was wondering if anyone could direct more toward a source for more information about the incident. Apparently at the time it was a big deal because it made the front page of the Atlanta Journal. Any information or sources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

If the case resulted in a trial, you might check court records; capital murder cases almost always wre appealed to the state's high- est court and the opinions written and preserved. I've found out about 2 Pennsylvania cases in this manner.
